The Exam Hall is the podcast where I sit down with a guest and answer questions the hardest exam in the world.
All Souls College Oxford is maybe the most exclusive institution in the world. Awarding only up to two fellowships per year, to be eligible to apply you must already hold an Oxford degree, and if you are lucky enough to be an appointed fellow, you are given funding for a 7 year period to fund research, with free board, a salary, access to study any subject at Oxford of your choosing and contacts with leading professionals and scholars in your field. Each episode, a guest and I pick a question from the All Souls general paper to discuss and debate. Alongside this, we explore barriers to education, information, and resources. I want to explore what the unqualified and ineligible could achieve with funding, resources, and open doors. The Exam Hall asserts everyone, from elite academics to the uneducated and unqualified, deserve a platform and posess opinions and experiences worthy of the one of the oldest, most prestigious universities in the world. |
Guest CalloutCalling all academics, anarchists, artisans, activists, rejects, educators, outcasts and gatekeepers alikeI am looking for guests! All Souls requires applicants to already hold an Oxford degree. However, at the Exam Hall, we have no eligibility criteria. I want to talk to people currently in education, educators at all levels, people for whom education simply wasn’t an option, creatives, tradesmen, scientists, renowned and unknown figures. Anyone with an opinion and a willingness to sit and talk with me and a microphone is welcome. So if you want to give the hardest exam in the world a go, get in touch!
