Comino Poet In Residence 2024-2025 

The Comino Poet In Residence project from the Comino Foundation and the Manchester Poetry Library brings together nine student poets with a Greater Manchester secondary school and a Manchester cultural partner to deliver a series of poetry workshops for students to create a collection of poetry.

Cherry is working with The Royal Exchange and a group of Year 10 students from The Derby High School creating poetry around the theme of 'Heritage and Change'

On The Side - Poet In Residence

In December 2023/January 2024, Cherry was commissioned alongside five other early stage career poets by Apples and Snakes to be in residence as part of ON THE SIDE, an exhibition curated by Caps and Cans, taking place at the Sidings, Waterloo.

Using the exhibition space as their creative studio, Cherry, alongside Courtney Conrad, Adeola Yemitan, Iftikhar Latif, Eileen Gbagbo and Gafar Fashola, responded to the 43 artworks on display as well as conversations with the artists and members of the public.

Can You Hear That? - Cabaret For Freedom

Cabaret for Freedom takes place every year at St Johns Church. It is an evening of poetry and performances that celebrate iconic changemakers in Black History. Presented by Young Identity as part of the Manchester Literature Festival. Cherry is supported by The Untold Orchestra. Can You Hear That? was originally commissioned by Apples and Snakes.

Dear Little Me was published in Eastside's I Know, I Wish, I Will anthology and was longlisted for the 2022 Outspoken Poetry Prize in the Performance Poetry category.
